Chicago, IL (November 14, 2023) – NewCarbon, a Chicago based startup, has announced the launch of its clean energy platform focused on delivering lifecycle carbon intensity reduction through fit-for-purpose infrastructure solutions for North America’s top industrial, agricultural and energy companies.
“We see the struggles that heavy carbon emitting industries – industrial, agricultural and energy – are having in decarbonizing their value chains. Companies in these industries are navigating complex and difficult decisions to reduce carbon emissions while preserving reliability and affordability of their products,” said Omar Khayum, Founder and CEO, NewCarbon. “Reducing lifecycle carbon intensity does not have to be as hard as it has been. We are building the foundation of our clean energy platform with the customer in mind and to make it more seamless to integrate low carbon infrastructure into existing value chains.”
NewCarbon’s clean energy platform is under active development and the key business units and associated leadership will be launched and announced in the coming months.
“The legacy product-centric approach to developing energy infrastructure is not providing for services and solutions to meet customers’ needs,” said Khayum. “Simply, we believe that the low carbon energy industry should be reimagined with 21st century thinking and technology rather than merely being an extension of legacy 20th century business models.”
